Before you go
October to March is the main season, with daytime temperatures of roughly 15–25°C. Summer is very hot — plan outdoor stops for early morning and after sunset.
AlUla has a limited supply of cars and on-demand taxis at the airport are scarce, especially during festival weeks. Pre-book arrivals and event nights.
Hegra, Dadan, Jabal Ikmah and Sharaan are visited through Experience AlUla experiences. Book the experience first, then we fix the car around the slot.
After concerts at Maraya everyone leaves at once. Agree a pickup point and time in advance.
Elephant Rock is busiest around sunset. Arrive ahead of the light and ask the driver to wait for the return.
Madinah is about ~3 hr away and the Red Sea coast about ~4 hr 25 min. Tell the driver your rest and prayer stops at the start.
