The three ways a private driver is priced
Almost every private-driver booking in Saudi Arabia falls into one of three models. Choosing the right one matters more to the final cost than any other decision.

Rule of thumb: if the car would sit empty for most of the time, book per trip. If you would otherwise need three or more separate rides in a day, an hourly or full-day booking is usually simpler — and often cheaper than stacking single trips.
What changes the price
Vehicle class
The biggest single factor. Through our partner network you can book an executive sedan (Toyota Camry, Ford Taurus, Genesis G80 class), a full-size SUV (GMC Yukon XL, Cadillac Escalade), a van (Hyundai Staria), a luxury car (Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7 Series) or a minibus/coaster for groups. Larger and more premium vehicles cost more per hour and per trip. Hours and distance
Hourly hire is mostly about time, but distance still counts: a day that stays inside Riyadh is priced differently from a day that includes a run out to Diriyah and back, or a trip from Jeddah up to Makkah. Tell us the rough route, not just the number of hours.
City and timing
Pricing is consistent in approach across cities, but availability differs — Makkah and Madinah in Ramadan, or Riyadh during major exhibitions and Riyadh Season, are busier than a quiet weekday. The earlier you book for those periods, the more vehicle choice you have. Late-night starts and very early airport runs are normal and can be booked like any other time.
What does not change it
Traffic and demand do not move the fare after you have agreed it. There is no meter and no surge — the price you confirm before booking is the price for the trip you described.
What is included — and what to clarify
- The driver and vehicle for the booked period. On an hourly or full-day booking, the driver waits between your stops; that waiting is what you are paying for.
- Fuel is part of the quote for the trip you describe.
- Changes on the day — an unplanned extra city, or running well past your booked hours — need agreeing with us, because they change the trip.
- Payment is by cash to the driver or by bank transfer, and electronic receipts are available on request. For company bookings, a company invoice can be provided on request.
- Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup.
Typical uses, and which model fits
A day of meetings in Riyadh
Olaya in the morning, KAFD at lunch, the Diplomatic Quarter in the afternoon, then dinner. Booked as single rides that is four or five pickups to coordinate; booked by the hour, the same driver is outside each building when you come out. Most business visitors take an executive sedan or SUV by the hour.
Ziyarat in Makkah or Madinah

Airport arrival plus an afternoon of appointments
Book the airport transfer per trip and add a few hours to the same booking, rather than arranging a second car once you've checked in.
A family day trip out of the city
Diriyah from Riyadh, Taif from Makkah, or Al-Balad and the Corniche in Jeddah. A full-day booking with a van or SUV keeps everyone together and leaves room for shopping bags.
Private driver or ride-hailing app?
Ride-hailing apps work well for short, single trips when you have mobile data and no luggage. They are less suited to days with several stops: you re-book each leg, the car and driver change each time, and prices can rise at busy times. A pre-booked private driver costs more than the cheapest app ride, but gives you one agreed price, one vehicle that waits, and a driver who already knows the day's plan — which is why business travellers, families with children and first-time visitors usually choose it.

Is there a minimum booking for hourly hire?
Usually yes — hourly bookings have a minimum number of hours. Ask when you book and we'll confirm it for your city and vehicle.
Can I book a driver for several days?
